Welcome to NECA-IBEW Electrical Training Center

There has never been a better time to prepare for a career that is financially rewarding and personally satisfying. And there has never been a better training program than the nationally acclaimed NECA/IBEW Local 48 Electrical Apprenticeship Training Program. Our apprentices learn from the most-respected and experienced instructors in the nation’s most technologically advanced facility. The result is that we produce the most skilled and productive electricians in the nation.

Oregon needs journeymen! The state has recently adopted a "provisional General Journeyman Electrician License" rule, in which a journeyman electrician, who has completed a substantially similar apprenticeship program that is required in Oregon, can receive a provisional license to work in the state.
Applicants need to:
· Apply
· Submit the following documents:
    o Proof of apprenticeship completion,
o A copy of current license or certification,
· Complete a 4-hour Oregon rule and law course
· Pay an application fee
Applications must be received by July 30, 2017. Issued licenses will be valid until Feb. 1, 2020. This provisional license is not renewable.
States covered under the rules include Alabama, Alaska, Colorado, Connecticut, Idaho, Kentucky, New Mexico, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Texas, and Washington. Also included are the Canadian provinces of Alberta and British Columbia.
For qualification purposes, completion of the Inside Wireman apprenticeship delivered by the IBEW and NECA via the Electrical Training Alliance or the Journeyman Electrical apprenticeship delivered by the Independent Electrical Contractors will satisfy the rule.
